What did Cognition say about Corridor joining the company?
Cognition said on October 28, 2026 that Corridor is joining the company to advance Devin Security, its security product for the Devin coding agent. The announcement did not disclose the purchase price or the integration timeline, and Dealroom likewise said the terms were not disclosed.
Corridor’s co-founders, Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami, said they would join Cognition and work with Cognition President Russell Kaplan and Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos. They also said they had gotten to know Cognition CTO Steven Hao over the previous few months and looked forward to working closely with him.
How does Corridor fit into Devin Security?
Dealroom said Corridor’s team and product will fold into Devin Security, but the report distinguished Corridor’s focus from Cognition’s October 26 release. Cognition described Devin Security as a major upgrade with deep scans powered by frontier cyber models and hundreds of millions of dollars in Devin credits for enterprises, while Dealroom said Corridor addresses vulnerabilities as agents write code.
Corridor described itself as a security layer for AI-native teams and said it started almost two years before the acquisition announcement. In its announcement, the founders said AI agents can now execute end-to-end attack chains and argued that companies need to address longstanding security debt to stay secure.
What does Corridor’s product do?
Corridor’s product integrates with Cursor, Claude Code and Codex to identify vulnerabilities in code written by AI agents before a pull request exists, according to Dealroom. The report said the software can enforce merge policies by severity, investigate findings through Slack or the web, and open pull requests with proposed fixes.
That position sits alongside Cognition’s existing security work in Devin. Cognition said on July 1, 2026 that Devin Security Swarm finds vulnerabilities across the codebase, validates exploitability at runtime and ships remediation pull requests, and on July 2 it introduced a Devin Security Vulnerability Remediation Program to help organizations clear vulnerability backlogs and set up continuous remediation.
Who founded Corridor and who backed it?
Dealroom said Corridor co-founders Cable and Ramaswami were formerly associated with the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. It also reported that Alex Stamos invested in Corridor’s seed round, later led its security work and became Cognition’s chief security officer about a month before the acquisition.
Independent reporting also put Corridor’s earlier funding at approximately $30.4 million. InfotechLead reported that the company had raised that amount, while Mandos said Corridor raised a $25 million Series A led by Felicis in March 2026 at a $200 million valuation.
The acquisition comes after a year of rapid product expansion around Devin. Cognition introduced Devin in March 2024 as what it called the first AI software engineer, said it was generally available in December 2024, and later described it as a cloud agent platform for engineering teams that can be assigned tasks, reviewed through pull requests and used for backlog work.
Corridor’s founders said they were especially excited to join forces with Kaplan, whom they described as one of Corridor’s earliest advisors, and to work again with Stamos. They also thanked their team, customers, investors and supporters in the announcement.
