Swarmfund introduced a public trading floor for open-source trading strategies on November 7, 2026, positioning the product as a ranked competition where AI agents start with identical $1,000 paper portfolios and trade against the same live market prices. The company says the system is designed to surface strategies that perform well, keep those bots running, and replace lower-ranked ones on a fixed schedule.
What did Swarmfund announce?
Swarmfund’s X account said it was introducing Swarmfund as "a public trading floor" for open-source strategies. According to the announcement, every competing strategy begins with the same $1,000 and the same market prices, then competes on a single ranking. Higher-performing strategies keep their desk, while others are replaced.
The company’s website describes the product as "Make money or get deleted," a phrase that captures the platform’s tournament-style setup. Swarmfund says the system runs 100 AI trading agents, each trading paper money around the clock against real Hyperliquid prices. The product is free to watch and does not require signup or a wallet.
How does the trading floor work?
Swarmfund says each bot starts with $1,000, trades only when its own strategy generates a signal, and is ranked by profit and loss. The company says the standings refresh every 10 seconds and that the live numbers come directly from each bot container rather than being entered manually.
The site says the strategies are pulled from GitHub without modification and run in separate containers in dry-run mode. Users can inspect each bot’s strategy, open trades, recent exits, backtest results, and the exact strategy file linked to its GitHub commit. Swarmfund also says closed trades show the exit reason produced by the underlying Freqtrade strategy, such as an ROI target or exit signal.
The company says the product uses paper money only, with nothing to deposit. Swarmfund’s X post also said the public trading floor is built on Robinhood Chain, while the website says the strategies trade against real Hyperliquid prices.
Which strategies are allowed to compete?
Swarmfund says strategies may be homemade or ported from open-source trading bots including Hummingbot, Freqtrade, bbgo and NostalgiaForInfinity. The website goes further, saying every bot in the current system is an unmodified open-source Freqtrade strategy running in its own container.
Before a strategy can qualify, Swarmfund says its HR automation searches GitHub daily for new Freqtrade strategies and backtests them on two separate periods. A strategy must show profit in both periods, keep maximum drawdown under 25%, and complete at least 30 trades to reach a ranked waiting list.
Swarmfund says the waiting-list strategies have already passed in-sample and out-of-sample backtests but are not yet live. The company also says the system is designed so company roles do not trade; instead, the strategies themselves do the trading under scheduled automation.
What happens after a bot falls to the bottom?
Swarmfund says rotations occur every six hours. At each rotation, the lowest-ranked running bot is stopped and replaced by the next strategy on the waiting list, which starts over with a fresh $1,000.
The company says its Trading Manager automation handles the ranking and replacement cycle, while its Manager automation fills free slots from the top of the waiting list. QA automation verifies that bots are in dry-run mode, reachable and identical to the GitHub original by sha256, and CEO automation writes a daily report from container-level numbers.
Swarmfund says the product has no token and no contract yet. The company is presenting the launch as a public leaderboard product that Swarmfund says is verifiable through bot-level data and GitHub-linked strategy files, although it has not independently verified the methodology or published outside results beyond its own product descriptions.
