Genesis Accelerator said applications are now open for Genesis 021 Cohort 7, a free, no-equity program for pre-seed startups. The one-month accelerator is built around product development, early customer acquisition and a Demo Day presentation to investors.
Genesis Accelerator announced on October 14, 2026 that applications are open for Genesis 021 Cohort 7, a free, no-equity program aimed at pre-seed startups. The accelerator says the cohort will run for one intensive month and end with a Demo Day where selected teams present to investors.
What is Genesis 021 Cohort 7?
Genesis 021 Cohort 7 is Genesis Accelerator’s latest intake for an early-stage startup program built around four weeks of concentrated support. In its announcement, Genesis said the cohort is designed to help founders build product, acquire first customers and prepare for investor pitching at Demo Day. The company also described the format as free and equity-free, meaning participating startups do not pay program fees or give up ownership stake to join.
The program is aimed at pre-seed startups, according to Genesis, and the accelerator says applications will remain open for 10 days. The announcement did not specify a calendar closing date.
Who can apply and what kind of teams does Genesis accept?
Genesis says the program is primarily for pre-seed and seed startups, but it also accepts some ideation-stage teams if they show strong promise. The company says applicants can come from open-ended sectors, including deep tech, cyber, fintech, AI and health.
On its website, Genesis says applicants may show traction in several ways, including paying customers, pilots, grants, investment or advanced product development. That suggests the accelerator is looking for more than just an idea, while still leaving room for earlier teams that can make a strong case for their potential.
Genesis says each cohort is intentionally small, with only 10 startups selected. Startups are chosen by a committee made up of founders, operators and ecosystem leaders.
What does the program include?
Genesis describes Genesis 021 as a one-month sprint for early-stage founders. The company says the program includes practical workshops, 1-on-1 sessions and curated connections, with one session per week plus weekly challenges and progress reviews across the four-week run.
The accelerator says sessions are led by founders, angel investors and Tier 1 funds. It also says startups can access more than $100,000 in credits from AWS, Google, Hubspot, Vercel, Lusha and other providers.
Genesis says the program ends with Demo Day, where selected startups present to investors. It adds that investment through its network or through Demo Day is possible, but not guaranteed or predefined.
What does Genesis say about its track record?
Genesis says it has more than 180 mentors and speakers in its network and more than 100 active VCs and angels involved in the community. The accelerator also says 88% of startups in its portfolio are still active, while 63% have raised funding and the rest remained bootstrapped.
The company lists portfolio companies including CATCH, LiteVision, EO, Reevol, Saola AI, Senai, Spring and Tangos AI. In a February 5, 2026 blog post, Genesis said alumni company Senai emerged from stealth with a $6.2 million seed round.
Genesis lists Dekel Yakobovich as CEO and founder, Gal Barzilay as executive director, and Daniel Doli as investors and partnerships manager.
The open application window now puts the accelerator back in the market for founders seeking a short, no-equity program with investor exposure and limited cohort size. For entrepreneurs deciding whether to apply, the practical questions are straightforward: whether the startup fits Genesis’s early-stage profile, whether it can show traction or promise, and whether it is ready for the compressed pace of a four-week sprint.
