Gallatin AI said on October 8, 2026 that it raised $50 million in Series A financing to expand Navigator, its AI-enabled platform for military logistics and sustainment. The El Segundo startup said the round was backed by new and existing investors including 8VC and Silent Ventures and will fund engineering hires and product development.
Gallatin AI announced on October 8, 2026 that it raised $50 million in Series A financing to expand Navigator, its software platform for military logistics and sustainment decision-making.
The El Segundo, California-based company said the round included new and existing investors such as 8VC and Silent Ventures. Gallatin did not identify a lead investor in its release, and the company said the financing brings its total funding to $70 million following a 2024 seed round. Axios, citing CEO Woody Glier, reported that all of that funding has been equity.
What does Gallatin's Navigator software do?
Navigator is Gallatin’s flagship decision-support platform. The company says it connects data and workflows across the force to help orchestrate sustainment and readiness planning, including vehicle readiness, supply, medical and other mission-support functions.
Gallatin said Navigator is already used by Army and Air Force customers at tactical, operational and strategic planning levels. The company also said the product is deployed with U.S. military units around the world and has supported exercises spanning Japan, Alaska and Europe. In addition, Gallatin said Navigator is used with multiple military units and commercial logistics partners.
Outside Gallatin’s own announcement, SiliconANGLE described Navigator as software that aggregates supply-chain records from multiple systems and standardizes them. The outlet reported that the product uses AI to visualize data in dashboards, including maps, graphs and a spreadsheet-like viewer, and can forecast when supplies will run out based on current inventory and historical consumption patterns.
Who backed the round?
Gallatin said the Series A was supported by new and existing investors including 8VC and Silent Ventures, plus unnamed others. The company did not name a lead investor. Axios similarly reported, citing Glier, that 8VC and Silent Ventures participated in the round, while SiliconANGLE said the financing included those firms and several others.
The company’s release did not disclose the full mix of participants beyond those named investors. Gallatin also did not publish a valuation.
How will Gallatin use the money?
Gallatin said it plans to use the proceeds to expand its engineering team, accelerate product development and broaden AI-enabled sustainment capabilities across the Joint Logistics Enterprise. The company also said the funding will help scale Navigator and expand sustainment decision-making across the Joint Force.
SiliconANGLE reported that Gallatin plans to use the proceeds to enhance Navigator’s AI capabilities and hire more engineers. Axios quoted Glier describing military logistics data as highly manual and messy, and reported that Gallatin’s focus is on digitizing and streamlining military logistics and sustainment rather than building drones.
Gallatin said the software has been proven in fuel, medical and munitions supply chains. The company also said Navigator has been deployed with U.S. military units worldwide and has supported exercises from Japan to Alaska to Europe. SiliconANGLE added that the platform can show asset-specific sustainment details such as fuel, corrosion prevention sprays and spare parts required for aircraft, and can flag areas for improvement in resupply plans while automating related administrative document creation.
Gallatin was founded in 2024 and is headquartered in El Segundo, with offices in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas. The company said its customers include the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, and Axios reported that Gallatin announced a summer 2026 deal with III Armored Corps without disclosing the contract value. Gallatin’s newsroom also said it was awarded a DIU Joint Sustainment Decision Tool contract for USAREUR-AF on July 15, 2026, and that III Armored Corps selected Navigator on June 11, 2026.
For founders tracking defense software, Gallatin’s raise adds another data point for venture-backed startups building AI systems around logistics, planning and sustainment rather than frontline hardware. The company’s next milestones will likely be tied to engineering expansion and broader deployment of Navigator across military and commercial logistics customers.
